Mikel is back! Even though apologetics isn’t about apologizing, today’s post begins with an apology to my readers: I’m sorry the blog hasn’t been updated much apart from a daily tweet or two recently. I’ve been super-busy teaching and preparing my apologetics training materials. But the good news is you’ll soon be able to benefit from the long hours I’ve been putting in. Here’s what I mean:
Each weekend in October, I taught an apologetics class at Bridgeway Christian Church based on my new Accessible Apologetics curriculum. I’m almost done with the final edits to this resource. If you’re looking to get accessible apologetics training into your church, you’ll soon be able to take advantage of all the work I’ve already done. Look for a new lesson to go live on this site each Friday in November!
Last month, I also finished up a World Religion course at University of Phoenix, spoke at 2 area churches and guest lectured for a Worldview class at William Jessup University. I also began an apologetics discussion class at Mosaic Christian Church for homeschooling students—and it’s still going on this month.
In September, Brian Auten interviewed me via Skype for Apologetics 315. If you haven’t heard it yet, you can download the audio file here. I really appreciate his Web site and it was an honor to contribute to his series on getting apologetics into your church. If you haven’t already seen it, you can download the free eBook here.
Remember, we’re in this thing together. If God can use me, he can use you. I actually don’t spend a lot of time looking for speaking gigs or ministry opportunities, but the Lord seems to be bringing the opportunities to me. So stay alert to the things God may be putting in your path—good works He’s prepared in advance for us to do.
