Your Apologetics Briefing
Hi! I’m Dr. Mikel Del Rosario. Got tough questions about God, Jesus, or the Bible? Want to talk about your faith with friends, family, and coworkers but often feel blocked by challenges to Christianity? I’ve been there. So I built this Web site to help you begin an exciting journey where you can discover answers to tough questions. Imagine being able to navigate spiritual conversations with confidence, where you can defend truth while loving people well. Join a fresh movement of new apologists who engage culture, make the case for Christianity, and explain the faith with courage and compassion.
What is Apologetics?
Explaining public evidence for Christian truth claims.
Apologetics doesn’t mean saying “sorry” or apologizing for your beliefs. Technically speaking, Christian apologetics is a branch of theology that gives a rational justification for Christian truth claims. Practically speaking, “doing apologetics” means defending the faith. The Apostle Peter wrote:
…but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15).
Here, “make a defense” comes from the Greek word apologia. That’s where we get the word “apologetics.” Following what Peter said just means you have reasons for what you believe and you’re ready to talk with anyone who has questions. [Read more]
